GIP is a meeting place with focus on the students and researchers at the
University of Gotland and for other local entrepreneurs who want to start
up their own business and develop new services and applications in interactive media.
Within GIP´s sphere of activity is the GIP Incubator that supports
entrepreneurs and associated projects into commercializing their ideas by business coaching and providing premises.
GIP MoCap Studio which is a motion capture studio for digital
animations,
GIP Mobil Studio which can offer technique and business support, a
Digital-TV project and the event “A Day in the Park”.
GIP supports projects and business within game development, tourist
services as well as the private interactive media sector.
GIP is an association whose board of directors consist of
representatives from Svenska Spel, GEAB Vattenfall, Gotlandsbolaget,
University of Gotland and Gotland Community.
GIP is situated in Hamngatan 4 near the harbour and close to the
nearby university, Interactive Institute and other local companies that
are creating a creative growth foundation for new ideas and services.
